Your body, under your control.

I’m building Oentra to help me take charge of my health, data, vitality and outcomes. You can take what I learn and apply it for free.

A note from the founder

David.

Why I’m building Oentra

I want to know how strong, fit and alive I can become, so I’m getting serious about the basics: training, food, sleep and recovery, all mapped to my own health data. I want the result, but I also want the work to make me a better person—more disciplined, more honest with myself and better able to show up for the people I care about.

That means following the best evidence I can find, keeping an honest record and saying plainly when something doesn’t work. I’m not interested in hype, gimmicks or bro science; I want to know what actually helps, what doesn’t and why.

Doing that properly means keeping control of the most personal information I have. Your health and medical data should belong to you. I don’t want mine scattered across big-tech accounts, sold back to me through subscriptions or used to keep me inside somebody else’s system. I’m building Oentra around my own training, food, recovery, measurements and results, paired with serious medical and diagnostic data, so it can tailor strategies locally and off-cloud wherever possible. I decide what leaves my device.

I’m building Oentra for my own body first, but I don’t want the value to stop with me. As I test it, I’ll share the research I use, what I decide to change and what happens next, including the mistakes and dead ends. If that saves someone else time, money or frustration, or helps them make a better decision about their own health, it’s worth doing.

Oentra is the app I wish I had. It isn’t ready yet, but my plan is to make it free when it launches without asking people to give up control of their personal data to use it.

The first 90 days

I’m in Oentra’s first 90-day cycle now, recording the data, the changes I make and what actually happens—the progress, setbacks and lessons along the way.

I’ll post the useful parts on Instagram and Facebook as I go, not just the wins.
